Lake Nasser
Formed behind the massive High Dam at Aswan, Lake Nasser is the world's largest reservoir and stretches over three hundred miles south beyond the Sudanese border. The Ancient Nubian Temples of Abu Simbel were incredibly moved, block-by-block, out of the reaches of the rising waters. Just eight boats sail the Lake, leaving travellers the peace to enjoy the stunning desert scenery on either shore far from the madding crowd! |
