Giza & The Pyramids

More than any other monument, the Pyramids of Giza symbolise the mystic appeal that Egypt has exerted over travellers for millennia. The great Pyramid of Cheops, flanked by its two smaller companions, dominate the Giza skyline. Overlooked by the rapidly expanding city, the Pyramids gaze is forever skywards as they protect the earthly bodies of their Pharaohs. Beyond Giza lie the Pyramid fields of Saqqara and Dashur, where the development of Pyramid building can be traced.
