The Hadeel, Nile Cruiser
The symbol of grace and gentility, the Dahabiyya were built for the wealthy Egyptian Aristocrats to cruise the Nile in utmost style. Powered only by sail, these beautiful boats are once again sailing the mighty River, reviving the age old tradition and bringing elegance back to Nile cruising.
Indus has chosen the delightful Dahabiyya, the 'Hadeel' – meaning the gentle cooing of pigeons, and a word of endearment in Arabic – for its guests' voyage of discovery on the Nile.
Launched in October 2007, the 45m Hadeel offers accommodation for a maximum of 16 guests in 8 beautifully appointed a/c ensuite cabins, fitted out in traditional colonial style. There is a stylish lounge, a dining room and Jacuzzi. All public areas are air conditioned. The spacious and partially shaded top desk offers guests the opportunity to recline on comfortable deck chairs, whilst watching the wonders of the Nile pass by: enjoying the romance, peace and serenity of the wind softly murmuring in the lazy sails. (A small motorboat tows the Hadeel if the breeze fades to a whisper).
The boat can be chartered for small groups or guests can choose to join one of the set departures to all the historical sites along the River. A personalized service and the expert attention of a highly trained chef ensure guests have a relaxed and delicious experience! At night the Hadeel docks at private mooring sites.
A Nile Cruise on the Dahabiyya Hadeel promises to be a truly unique and memorable experience. |
